This policy explains how Labeo Technologies Inc. ("LabeoTech", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit labeotech.com, request a quote, place an order or contact us for support.

2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information we need for the purposes described in section 3:
- Contact and order information: name, institution or company, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, purchase order numbers and order details, when you request a quote, place an order, create an account or fill out our contact form.
- Payment information: online card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Support information: the serial number of your system, the description of the problem, and any photos, videos or files you send us.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you arrived on our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 4).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To answer your questions and prepare quotes.
- To process, ship and invoice your orders, including customs documents.
- To provide technical support, warranty service and returns.
- To send you information about your order, product updates or software updates related to products you bought.
- To keep our website secure and prevent spam and fraud.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it, and to measure the results of our advertising, if you accept these cookies.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example accounting and tax records.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
When you first visit our website, a banner asks for your consent to cookies that are not necessary. You can change your choices at any time with the Cookie Settings link on the website.
- Necessary: required for the website to work, for example the shopping cart, the checkout, your account login and your cookie choices. These cannot be turned off.
- Security: Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms against spam, and Cloudflare protects and speeds up the website.
- Functional: remember preferences such as your language or currency.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics help us understand how visitors use the website. WooCommerce also records how you arrived on the website when you place an order.
- Advertising: Google Ads and Google Merchant Center measure the results of our ads and may show our ads on other websites.
5. Sharing Your Information
We share personal information only when needed, with:
- service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host, Cloudflare, Stripe (payments), Google (analytics, advertising and spam protection), and our accounting and legal advisors;
- carriers and customs brokers (for example FedEx, UPS and DHL) to ship your order;
- our authorized distributor in your region, when your order or support request is handled through them;
- authorities, when required by law.
Our service providers may only use your information to provide their services to us. If LabeoTech is sold or merged, personal information may be transferred to the new owner, under the same protections.
6. Information Stored Outside Quebec
Some of our service providers store information outside Quebec, mainly in the United States. Before sharing information outside Quebec, we make sure it will receive adequate protection, as required by Quebec law.
7. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Order, invoice and accounting records are kept for the period required by tax laws, generally six (6) years. Support records are kept for the life of the product.
8. Security
We use reasonable physical, technical and administrative measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to personal information within our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your Rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw your consent, or to receive your information in a commonly used format. Residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom have similar rights under the GDPR. To make a request, contact the person in charge of personal information (section 1). We answer within thirty (30) days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Minors
Our website and products are intended for research professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 14 years of age.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest update.
