An accessory for the Behavioral Camera: pupil diameter, eye position or paw coordinates go out live as analog signals, ready to record next to your electrophysiology, imaging or behavioral signals. Eight 0–5 V channels on BNC connectors, updated at up to 100 Hz. Also available on its own: serial commands over USB let you drive it from your own code.
8 Analog Channels
Up to eight signals at once, each on its own BNC connector, 0–5 V, updated at up to 100 Hz.
Closed-Loop Ready
Signals follow the animal in real time, to trigger stimuli on pupil dilation, eye movement or a paw reaching a target.
One USB-C Cable
Powered and controlled through a single USB-C cable. No separate power supply.

| Signals with the Behavioral Camera | Any measure tracked in real time: pupil diameter, pupil position (X, Y), paw and tail base coordinates, or the coordinates of points from your own DeepLabCut model |
| Compatible with | Behavioral Camera with Infrared Illumination |
Real-Time Pupillometry
The module comes with the Real-Time Pupillometry add-on of the Behavioral Camera. A model already trained on mouse eyes tracks the pupil contour, and measures such as pupil diameter and X, Y position each go out on their own channel.
Real-Time Gait Tracking
The module also comes with both Real-Time Gait Tracking add-ons of the Behavioral Camera: side view, or side and bottom view on our running wheel with mirror. Models already trained on mice track the paws and tail base, and up to eight of their coordinates go out live, one per channel.
Already have the camera? Add the module on its own to output measures from any real-time model, including one trained by our DeepLabCut tracking service.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I connect it to?
Any system with analog inputs that accept 0–5 V: electrophysiology and imaging acquisition systems, DAQ boards, or behavioral control hardware.
Which measures can I output?
With the Behavioral Camera, any measure tracked in real time by its software. With the Real-Time Pupillometry add-on: pupil diameter and pupil position. With the Real-Time Gait Tracking add-ons: paw and tail base coordinates. With your own DeepLabCut model: the coordinates of the tracked points, such as a paw or the nose.
Do I need a separate power supply?
No. The module connects to the computer with a single USB-C cable.
Do I need to buy it separately?
It comes with the Real-Time Pupillometry and Real-Time Gait Tracking add-ons of the Behavioral Camera. It is also sold on its own, to add to a camera you already have, or to use without other LabeoTech devices through serial commands.
Can I control it from my own code?
Yes. The module accepts serial commands over USB, so you can set each channel's voltage from Python, MATLAB, Bonsai or any language that can open a serial port.
